On The Campaign Trail!

Want to connect with other writers that share your struggles and triumphs? Want to find that perfect crit partner or beta reader? Then you need to check out Rachel Harrie's fabulous Platform Building Campaign. This is my third year and I can tell you from experience that it is well worth joining. But hurry, you only have until August 31st to sign up!

WriteOnCon was wonderful. I'm still trying to catch up on all of the fabulous posts and vlogs. This one by author Alan Silverberg was especially touching. Go on and read it and see if it doesn't make you tear up.  This vlog by author Beth Revis on perseverance was inspirational too. You can view all the archives at the main site www.WriteOnCon.com.

We have a new anchorman on our local Fox affiliate station and he sure doesn't look like Ron Burgandy. Can you say, hello gorgeous?

I saw The Help last weekend and I can tell you it was just a smidge less enjoyable than the book, although the casting was spot on. It's been a while since we've been to a crowded theater, and even longer since people clapped during the credits.

There are several things I'm excited about that are rapidly approaching:

Fall
Halloween (I so want to try this)
The Walking Dead on AMC
Do you see a pattern here?

What things are you looking forward to?

AUTUMN!!! I CANNOT WAIT for cooler weather. Though, sometimes we don't get it until after Christmas. Boo on that.

I'm looking forward to The Help, even though my mom almost fell asleep several times when she went to see it with a friend. I haven't read the book yet, so maybe that's a good thing.

And that's pretty awesome lip-decor!!

I think one of those crusade dealies was enough for me.

I might be going out on a limb here, but I think you are excited for fall.

Glad you are a fellow campaigner!

I cannot wait for autumn. This summer has been rough. I forgot about The Walking Dead. How could I forget?! I need to look up when that starts.

I love fall - my fave month though I do miss the actual season change (we don't have much of one here in the SF Bay Area) and the amazing fall colors.

Wanted to stop by and say hi - we are in the same YA group on the campaign - looking forward to all the fun!

Hi, Lisa,

Great to see you are a Campaigner too! It should be terrific. I need to get around and say hi to the bloggers in my groups.

I am looking forward to fleeing Chicago on Saturday for a new country. I'll be visiting my Canada for nine days. Starting with Niagara Falls, Montreal, Quebec City, and Toronto.

I am also looking forward to meeting Her Nakedness, Hart, the watery tart, Johnson on my way there. I also hope to meet Deniz Bevan in Montreal.

YAY for vacation.

I am also looking forward to fleeing South in November ... I hope to see you along the way, and meeting Jen Daiker in Wizarding World .... SO I have very fortunate to have wonderful events scheduled this fall.....

That campaign sounds like fun! I really liked the book of "The Help" but I haven't got the chance to see the movie yet.

Well I'm looking forward to that film - loved The Help in book for. Don't know how long we'll have to wait for it to hit UK cinemas.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm looking forward to some fall weather, such as it is in L.A., but that won't happen here 'til late October or so. In the meantime... I think your new anchorman could be Tom Hanks' other son. And I LOVED The Help (had not read the book, so I didn't enter the movie with any expectations). Remarkable ensemble acting!

Awesome Halloween mouth! And that anchorman is pretty stunning, wow.

We're in the same Contemp/Mainstream group for the Campaign! yay! :)
