This is the last day in the challenge and I am thrilled to say that I read all of the books on my original list and reviewed all but On The Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, only because I just finished reading it today (talk about cutting it close).
The challenge was to read as many Newbery and Printz award winners or nominees as possible between Memorial Day and Labor Day- May 30th until September 5th.
There were 4 levels of participation-
Level 1- Underachiever: Read 3 books
Level 2- Nerd: Read 6 books
Level 3- Brainiac: Read 9 books
Level 4- Teacher's Pet: Read 12 books
I signed up at the Brainiac level and the nine books I read are:
- When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead - my review
- The Giver by Lois Lowry - my review
- Bridge To Terabithia by Katherine Paterson - my review
- Going Bovine by Libba Bray- my review
- On The Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
- The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler - my review
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - my review
- Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison - my review
- Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King - my review
Since I'm done with this challenge, I could really use some suggestions of what to read next. What has been your favorite read this year?

Well, that is pretty close to the deadline but considering you chose one of the higher levels that's still a great accomplishment! I only read 3 books for the challenge and they were all VERY short ;)
Markus Zusak is one of my favourite YA authors. I Am the Messenger was my first read of his and his still my favourite for various reasons.
Nice blog. Glad I stopped by!
I still have yet to read the last one on your list because PLEASE IGNORE...is always checked out at the library!!
Well done you!! What an achievement - I am in awe cos I read like erm one per couple of months - I am that slow!!
I just know you'll reach level 4 when this challenge is up again! Yay! take care

My favourite this year?? it's really tough to choose, because I've read such a variety of stuff. Stand-outs though are "Phantom of the Opera" and "Flash Burnout".
Well done you!
I becamse a serious underachiever as I didn't read any books on those lists in the end. I have read lots of novels though this year and am enjoying one about a schizophrenic woman called Alice at the moment.
Very nice descriptive language!
