Bernard Pivot Blogfest

Thanks so much to the beautiful Nicole Ducleroir for hosting this blogfest. I had heard of the Questionnaire before, but never attempted to answer it myself. I treated it as one of those exercises where you write down the first thing that pops into your head because I didn't want to overthink it.

1.What is your favorite word? Serendipity

2.What is your least favorite word? Stupid

3.What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Music, nature, art

4.What turns you off? Body odor

5.What is your favorite curse word? Fuck

6.What sound or noise do you love? Wind chimes

7.What sound or noise do you hate? Car alarm

8.What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Veterinarian

9.What profession would you not like to do? Nurse (God bless them, but I couldn't do it)

10.If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Nobody's perfect, but I know you did your best.

I also asked my thirteen-year-old son to take a stab and I thought his answers were interesting so I've posted them too.

1.What is your favorite word? Epic

2.What is your least favorite word? Raunchy

3.What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Music

4.What turns you off? Silence

5.What is your favorite curse word? Shit

6.What sound or noise do you love? Robot voices

7.What sound or noise do you hate? Styrofoam rubbing against Styrofoam

8.What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Video game programmer

9.What profession would you not like to do? Teacher

10.If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Halle-freaking-lujah

So those were ours. Did we match any of your answers?

Make sure and check out all of the other blogs participating and have a wonderful hump day!

Your sons answer to god's reaction when he arrived at the pearly gates made me laugh out loud. That's too funny.

I could never be a nurse either - all that blood and sickness. I couldn't deal with it!

I love the word "serendipity".

I hate car alarms.

My favorite curse word is fuck but I didn't say that in my answers--I explain why on my blogpost.

I love the word serendipity and just recently used it in "real life." I do,however, like the word raunchy. Not to diss your son, but it might be an age thing.

Awesome!! My kids filled out the questionnaire too, and will put their answers on our family blog. So glad you included your son's answers! Fun!

You and I both said we wouldn't want to be nurses. *high five* God bless the nurses, and thank God I'm not one!

My fave of your son's answers was favorite sound: robot voices. Yes! Who doesn't smile when they hear a goofy robot!

Thanks for playing along!!

Great answers. Your 13 yo son's answers made me smile. Epic seams to be an international favorite word of that generation. The kids/teens use it all the time on my side of the Atlantic Ocean too >:)

Oh, big wins for wind chimes and serendipity! And I love that you asked your son to do it--what a great addition. I've got a 7th grade son (only 12) and I'd love to hear what he thought. My 15 year old daughter, too...

Heehee! I have more in common with your son than you!
I do love the sound of wind chimes though.
Lets see: We both picked music and shit. And though I didn't put it down as an answer I love the sound Transformers make when they transform, it's my ringtone;)and I despise the sound of styrofoam rubbing together! Ack!
His answer to the last question? Awesome!! Hahah!

Sorry I'm just getting here...between the blogfest and the crusade, I'm overwhelmed with getting around to everyone. I'm almost done, though.

I enjoyed BOTh of your answers. :)
I too love the word 'serendipity', (though I didn't choose it...I did it the way you did: first word that popped in my head) and I agree: B.O. =Ew!

I love the word raunchy...but I think it's fun that your son hates it.

And YAY for music. :)

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend,
