Would I Lie To You?

Can I just say how impressed I am with the entries I've visited so far! I wouldn't want to be a judge for this challenge.

Are you dying to know just how tragic my past really was?

The only lie I'm guilty of is nearly losing a finger to a sea duck. I have nothing but pleasant memories of feeding them on our family trips.

My secret was that poor little rabbit. I'd kept it to myself all these years thus saving not only Barbie, but Ken too.

I am addicted to reality TV, I'm my kids' worst grammar nightmare and I can juggle multiple tasks at the same time with no problem. I steer clear of fuzzy costumed people and still get cold sweats when I step into a vet's office.

Those small tragedies have been fuel for many a story over the years. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm grateful for them, but they gave me invaluable emotional experiences to draw from.

Congrats to those of you who spotted my untruth. I don't think I've correctly guessed one of yours yet.

I figured the rabbit thing was real using the same principle as when watching an M Night Shamaylan film--the least likely is the most likely!

I can't believe the rabbit and dog stories are the truth, you poor thing! great entry.

I enjoyed your story and finding out the truths.

Aww! Sorry I didn't get a chance to guess but I would've definitely hoped the rabbit thing was a lie. That's pretty awful! Boys like that are horrible (I knew a guy who buried a cat up to the neck and chopped it's head with a lawn mower-- OMG! That is the kind of person that... never mind!) Anyway, I dropped by to let you know you were right about my lie if you take any pleasure in being right! I have no prizes to hand out, just the acknowledgement of your brilliance and cunning!

Such cute ducks! Glad you didn't actually lose a finger.

I'm guessing the rabbit part is the untruth!

Wow. You've had two very traumatic experiences. I really hate your best friend's brother.

I enjoyed reading the rest of your challenge - awesome. I've been mucho slack at getting around to read these.

Have a great weekend, Lisa!

Wow, your neighbor had some really serious issues! I'd recommend him for an FBI watchlist!
If you'd said that a goose nearly took your finger, I'd believe you. They're nasty!

Well here I am after all. I really liked your blog but was so saddened about the experiences you had to undergo to become the person you are. I too am an animal lover. I live in Florida with abundant wildlife around and sometimes I feel as if I am in a Disney movie. I have a mini wiener dog and 2 cats right now. But the rest of my family is outside, the baby ducks trotting after their mothers through the yard. (Every day I count them anxiously and mourn if one is missing) I have blue jays and woodpeckers that come to me for peanuts. And scores of white ibis which are so beautiful. Catch up with you later...

Thanks for all the great comments.

Just so you don't think my neighbor was an absolute monster, he'd shot the rabbit he made me watch him skin. It wasn't actually alive at the time. That would have added a whole new level of trauma to the incident.

Good thing you didn't lose a finger to a sea duck. I'd never look at those cute little suckers the same again.

Love the watercolor background of your blog--soothing and inviting.
