Your list reminded me that I'd forgotten to add The Da Vinci Code, which I wasn't a huge fan of but which I have read and seen, so it counts.
Love a lot of these on your list, but I have yet to either see or read them. What I've seen of Dean Koontz adaptations tells me someone either needs to get a clue, or they need to just give up trying to make anything good from his books (which I love).

@Trisha I agree about the Koontz adaptations. Most have been horrible.
That list would be way too long for me to remember. Do the comic book ones count if you read the comics?
I started making a list and by checking Goodreads I got it up to 43 so far. Though a couple like "Dracula" and "Alice in Wonderland" the movie adaptation really isn't all that faithful to the book.
I have no idea . . . I've only seen a few from this list!
Until this blogfest, I hadn't known there were so many movies made of books by Stephen King; I thought there were just one or two. :P

This is a cool post. I've often seen the movie and not read the book in a lot of these examples. I didn't even know Twilight was a book until the movie came out! Left the theater and ran right to the bookstore to buy it...lol...I'm looking forward to your followup post when you compare movie and book.

I've wanted to see Shutter Island, but haven't yet.
I love To Kill A Mockingbird too much to see the movie.
I've both read and watched the Princess Bride, and I thought the movie was better, so I'm guessing that you thought so too.
