Next Year Has To Be Better, Right?

I realize my posts have been sporadic of late but I swear it's not my fault. At least not directly. A gremlin (I suspect the same one that William Shatner kept seeing outside his airplane window) has climbed inside my hard drive and caused all sorts of evil things to happen.

I was planning on buying a Mac with my tax refund, but I don't know that I can survive with just my iPad for two whole months. We will see. Forgive what may seem like slacker behavior on my part during that time and know that I will continue to visit your wonderful blogs when I can.

On a more pleasant note, I just finished Stephanie Perkins' second novel, Lola And The Boy Next Door, which made me feel all melty inside (review to follow soon). Damn that woman can write! So I wondered if any of you have read anything lately that caused a strong reaction, good or bad. Please share.

Darn those gremlins! One of them took out my printer last month. I blame the one with the mohawk. The book that most recently hit me on a emotional level was Thirteen Reasons Why. Wow.

Yay Lola! An emotional book for me recently was Shine by Lauren Myracle. Loved it.

Oh no, you'll have to get by on only your iPad...

Happy New Year!

Nothing is worse than computer gremlins. Yuck to technostress. As far as a book recommendation, I read an ARC of Cinder, and it was really, really good.

I just bought a MacBook on Monday with the help of some Christmas money and it's SOOO WORTH your wait!! And you won't have to worry about those pesky gremlins anymore!!

Lola and CRICKET FOR THE WIN!! I also just read Past Perfect by Leila Sales and it was PRECIOUS!!

Boo to the tech gremlins! :-(

Am reading Dark Matter - a proper ghost story - just fabulous for this inbetween Christmas and New Year time especially when outside is all grey and wet! Take care

I really love the English translation of Haruki Murakami's 1Q84. It is quite amazing.

I'm reading 'I killed Hemingway' which is turning out to be a blast. Great fun and well done.

We were watching youtube just as I clicked on your blog. We happened to be watching some Star Trek stuff and the next thing we clicked on was one of the songs Shatner recorded. Funny stuff but also weird that it coincided with your referring to him.

I hope the computer stuff gets worked out. I can't stand it when my computer is having issues. Cheers for the New Year!

Happy New Year! I can't wait to read your review. I'm reading a plotting book right now that has me riveted, The Plot Whisperer by Martha Alderson.

Good luck with your computer woes! I recently read American Gods, and it was brilliant.
