Worst Movies Ever Blogfest!

Thanks to Alex for hosting another fun blogfest!

I normally can find some redeeming quality for every movie I see. But some are so disappointing that I feel the need to warn people about them. You know the ones. You exit the theater feeling like you've been violated. And it's even worse because you paid money to feel that way.

Even if you can see them for free, the five movies I'm about to list will rob you of precious minutes of your life,

First on the list is Jaws 3 originally released in 3D. This was the first 3D movie I had ever seen and I was so excited. I expected things to jump off the screen at me, to be nearly able to feel the teeth of America's longest standing reason not to go into the water. What a crock. The 3D was laughable and the plot even more so. By the end, I was hoping everyone would be eaten.

Epic Movie - I guess we have Scary Movie to blame for all of these lame spoof films that came after it, but this one was particularly agonizing to sit through. I didn't crack a smile the whole 86 minutes of seemingly endless torture.

I watch a lot of horror movies and I've seen some real stinkers. But Leprechaun tops my list. Even with my fear of little people in creepy makeup, this one just didn't do it for me. Most famous quoted line from this movie, "I NEED ME GOLD!" 'Nuf said.

Son Of The Mask - I got roped into watching this one by my kids and I may never forgive them. Although I did find the baby scarier than the little guy in Leprechaun.

And last but not least I've chosen My Sister's Keeper - The acting wasn't bad and even people who hadn't read the book expected to bring tissues to the theater, but the reason this made my list was because they completely changed the ending of the story from book to screen. And this wasn't a minor change - a different character died! Unforgivable.

If you've enjoyed this post, I'm sure you will love visiting all of the other participating blogs. That's what I'm off to do.

What's the worst movie you've ever seen?

They made more Jaws movies? Why???? And I'm sorry, but what is so wonderful about 3D that they need to charge us an extra $2? Seriously, don't get me started on 3D... ;-)

I agree with you about the ending to My Sister's Keeper - there was no real reason to change the ending. Anyways, yeah, stupid move, but I still do enjoy the movie.

I hesitated to even go see "My Sister's Keeper" because it's one of my favorite Jodi Picoult books and I was afraid it would be ruined forever for me if the movie stunk. I'm so glad I didn't see the movie, having heard so much about the ending... Why would they make such a drastic change, I wonder?

Don't feel bad - I saw Jaws 3D in the theater as well.
Thanks for participating in the blogfest!

Wow, I've forgotten many of these. I didn't like Jaws 1, hence, I stayed away from the series.

Everyone a stinker! Somebody said that if a movie title includes the word movie, it always sucks!

You picked Son of the Mask as well. Yep, that movie was terrible!

I've never read My Sister's Keeper, but I can't believe they changed it around that much. It's infuriating when they do that to a book. :(

What made Jaws so great was the fact it was different; something new for people to fear, or at least, fear more than before. They should have stopped after the first - you can't keep making those movies. The plots never change.

I didn't know they did Son of the Mask. I wish I didn't.

"Son of the Mask" really was awful!

Ugh! Jaws 3 was horrible!

I loved that you waned to have everyone eaten in Jaws three... Too funny.

I picked ALL the Jaws movies among others.

I'm glad I didn't see Son of the Mask because I really did enjoy The Mask.

And changing the end so drastically from the book? I would be pissed too!

I was THIS close to adding Son of the Mask. It didn't quite make my cut. It was hard to narrow it down!!

My Sister's Keeper was the only one on your list I've seen, but I totally agree with you on the reason you added it to the list. Since I usually read a book before I see the movie, and only see the movie if I enjoyed the book, producers/writers/directors messing with the story line ruins everything.

I forgot about Jaws 3 and Leprachaun. Both worthy of this list. I haven't seen the last one you mentioned and will, therefore, avoid it. :D

I liked My Sister's Keeper, but then, I hadn't read the book.

Jaws 3...hmmm, yes, it wasn't a good one, lol.

I haven't seen any of these, and thanks to you, I never will! :)

Oh I forgot about Leprechaun. Oi. Horrible. I liked Jaws 3 as a kid because I lived near Sea World and loved the idea that a shark put it complete terror. lol... guess i was a bit of a troublemaker.
Oh your're so right about Son of the Mask. Awful. My kids love it tho.

I wouldn't even go see My Sister's Keeper because I'd read they'd changed the ending. Unforgivable is right!!

They also did an appalling job with The Other Boleyn Girl. Appalling, I say!!

Apart from Jaws 3 I haven't seen any of those films, though I would watch My Sister's Keeper just to see what I thought of it after your intriguing review ;O)
